Small, smaller, smallest: how far can I go?

Up to now, the smallest hand bound book coming from "the Ancient Muse" is 1*1,5 mm, it has about 48 empty pages, handstitched end-bands and of course a reading ribbon and a hard cover. It is bound with needles that are made for eye surgery. The end-bands are made from the finest silk threads.

The smallest book with prints in it -engravings and silkscreen prints- is 1* 1,5 cm, 48 pages, these too have handstitched end-bands and a reading ribbon. De cover is made from Japanese paper with a silkscreen print on it.

The biggest miniature book is about 6*7 cm and contains water coloured engravings of the monuments of Market Harborough and a little information in silkscreen print. 48 pages, 20 monuments like the Dionysius church, St. Mary in Arden and the Symington building.

Some of those small books found their home in a museum, like the Meermanno Museum in The Hague, the Netherlands. Others have been exhibited temporarily.
